FAQs

Q:         I see that you are only selling tickets in two’s and four’s. What happens if my party is a different sized group?

A:         We can only sell tickets in multiples of 2 or 4 to meet social distancing guidelines as we can’t place strangers in the same seat bay as would be the case normally. If you need to book a different size of party then please book using multiples of 2.

For example if you have a party of 5 adults then please book for 6 using the 2 person booking option. If you have a group of 6 including at least one child then you could use the family option and top up using either the option for 2 or another family group as appropriate.

If you have a nervous dog or one that barks at strangers or a dog that is deemed to be in a dangerous category then we ask that you do not bring it along for obvious reasons.

Q:         Can I bring a bicycle with me?

A:         We can accommodate 12 bicycles in the guards van (at the owners own risk as we accept no liability for loss or damage to bicycles in transit) However the guards van is not for public use and is located in a coach on the train where there is no public access. Bicycles need to be pre booked by emailing info@railcharterservices.co.uk before you book your ticket to ensure we can reserve you a space on the train.

Bicycles have to be handed over to staff on the platform where they will load them into a caged area in the guards van. Because of social distancing and insurance, guests will not be able to enter the guards van themsleves. Folding bicycles do not form part of the 12 bike quota and can be taken aboard by guests and stored in the luggage vestibule at the ends of each coach.

A:       There is a large car park at Skipton (You will have to pay a daily fee - https://www.lner.co.uk/the-east-coast-experience/our-stations/skipton-station/).
